Dr. Maria Christina Z. Manicad, the Director for Research, Development and Special Projects and faculty of Forestry Department at Apayao State College was invited and served as a resource speaker on Natural Plant Fiber Sources during the Capacity-Building event on Science, Technology, and Innovation to support Yarn Production using Pineapple Fiber, held at Cagayan State University – Gonzaga Campus.
Additionally, For. Jerico Jaravata and Mr. Orencio Calon Jr., Research Assistants under the Natural Textile Fiber Innovation Hub (NTFIH) project provided hands-on training on Pineapple Leaf Fiber Processing to the participants of the same event.
CSU -Gonzaga CEO, Dr. Froilan Pacris Jr., and the CSU Gonzaga Campus Extension Coordinator, Dr. Charisma Vivit, welcomed the ASC-RDE team and expressed their commitment and collaboration for future engagement with ASC.
